Top – Ornn

thunder splash

  • Even though Ornn received a little nerf to his passive, he is still one of the strongest Baron laners
  • He benefits from the new rune, Overgrowth, by stacking up his max HP to the point of being almost unkillable late game.
  • Good luck finding a counter this patch.

Jungle – Kayn

kayn original splash

  • Kayn was already the strongest Jungler in the previous patch and the new First Strike rune grants him a big advantage for snowballing since he deals more damage and gains more/extra gold to buy his core items faster.

Mid – Zed

  • Zed’s two core items, Youmuu’s Ghostblade and Serpent’s Fang, got buffed so he has more attack damage and more armor penetration.
  • These item buffs make him a top roamer and snowballing champion with a strong early game. Also, because of the massive Hullbreaker nerfs, it’s much easier for Zed to kill enemies in the sidelanes if he ganks during mid-/late game.

Bottom – Ezreal

  • Ezreal gained more attack damage, attack speed, and a damage buff on his main ability, Mystic Shot, which improves his early game.
  • Even though his laning phase is not the best, he can now poke his enemies down better and get a lead.
  • Once Ezreal makes it to the late game, he is a monster since he also has a 10 second reduction to his ult CD.

Support – Soraka

  • Soraka’s new rework allows he to spam Astral Infusion without sacrificing her own health, making her a god pick this patch.

Methodology TLDR:

  • Our tier list is made according to what is being played in high elo but is meant to be helpful for all players. The lower your skill level, the easier skill level of champion you should consider.
  • We will only have one tier list for now since Wild Rift is a relatively new and there aren’t a lot of statistics about what is going on in lower brackets of the ladder.
  • Furthermore, for each role, we will have a recommended champion that should get you results in a short period of time based on the current meta.
  • Simple champions have a lower skill floor, allowing them to be picked up easily.
  • If a champion has a higher skill floor (harder to play), it will take more time to learn and you will have to spend some time playing them in normal games, before you can be confident to step into a ranked game.
    • However in the long run, a harder champion may have a higher ceiling in terms of their mechanics and outplay potential.
  • Note that even if your favorite or main champion isn’t meta, it doesn’t mean that you can’t climb with them. Comfort goes a long way in playing well.

Come back every patch to check out our tier list that will be updated according to the new buffs and nerfs. If you have any comments, questions, or feedback leave it below. Good luck climbing and see you soon Summoner!
